When You believe in the Unseen… You Can Walk on Water!

Hey Mom if you believe in the unseen you can walk on water.” My six year old shouted from the pool as he attempted to walk on water.

“You sure can buddy, you sure can.”

This very simple statement was my reminder today that NOTHING is impossible with God. In my weakness, He is strong!

In about a month I am going to embark on a journey to Africa for 10 days to minister the Gospel of Jesus to women.

“You will minister to thousands upon thousands of women.” The Lord spoke into my Spirit 3 years ago while I stood in my bathroom cleaning.

“What? Lord, me? I have nothing to give, nothing to offer.”

“You have my Love.”

I never imagined that He would ask me to leave the comfort of my country and family. My thought was that I would minister right here in the comfort of my church.

I went to El Salvador this past October; it was my first ministry trip outside the country. I saw a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit that changed not only the women there, but also changed me. For the first time I was ministering fully in my anointing without insecurity or fear.

Fear, however, told me not to go to Africa.

Fear of the unknown.

Fear to leave my husband and family for so long.

Fear that I could die.

Fear that I would fail in some way.

Guide your life through fear and the enemy wins.

Guide your life through fear and you settle for less.

Perfect Love casts out ALL fear!

When the Father’s Love inhabits you, there is  no choice…Love is your guide.

Only when you step out onto the water is your faith activated.

Are you willing to be open to my will for your life, Lea?

Yes, Lord! I will trust you!

I want to live unafraid because I am fully known and loved by my Father.

I have been reading the biography of David Livingston and this quote spoke straight to my heart: “The missionaries he had met so far were settlers; he was a pioneer, a trailblazer. He had a burning passion in his heart to push farther out into the unexplored areas. He didn’t know where this desire would take him; all he knew was that God had given it to him, and somehow God would use it for good.”

God made us all trailblazers…pioneers. We were not created to settle. We were created to impact the nations and make disciples. I have a burning desire to see ALL women walk in their full calling and purpose, unhindered by fear, guilt or shame. I don’t know where this desire will take me but I know “He who started a good work in me will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6

Be encouraged today, friend, that God has created you for greatness! How do I know this? “The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children, and if children, also heirs-heirs of God and coheirs with Christ-seeing that we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.” Romans 8:16-17

He is sending us into all the world as adopted children, with all the rights, privileges, and responsibilities offered to Jesus. Our adoption is not based on merit but on God’s grace. Jesus words to us,

I have made you a light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.” Acts 13:47

If you have a dream burning inside of you take up hope today, get out of your boat, and walk on the water, with your eyes firmly fixed on Jesus.

As I go clear across the world to speak the gospel to African women, pray with me that the Lord would prove my message was true by giving me power to do miraculous signs and wonders Acts 14:3. Pray that women would be filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. Pray that believers would be encouraged in their faith and stirred in their faith to press on to spread the gospel. Pray that women would be transformed by the power of the love of the Father, that fear and shame would be broken off. But most of all, pray that the gospel message would be preached unhindered.

I leave July 26 and come home August 8th. We will be ministering in Uganda and Rwanda. If you would like to partner with me financially you can send a check to:
